Vocal Video - When I was your man (By Bruno Mars
This song was quite hard for me, my range isn't as good as Bruno mars as I haven't practised making my range bigger, but I remained in the low octave where my range could manage.
Next time I feel like If I complete the warmup exercises and stood up directly instead of a desk chair in my room, my voice projection would have come out better. I also feel like if I worked with tounge twisters as a warmup I would have been able to get a better articulation over my words. Warmup is essential.
Conclusion
If I was to redo this whole song, and start again using everything I have learnt, I would have first off warmed up by doing some simple voice sounds. For example (me, meh, mah, mor, moo). This would have focused on me holding my dictation towards the end, breathing and just getting the vocal chords warmed up. I would have then started going up the scales humming and mumbling different words. After doing this I would have started physically warming up. Not an extreme workout but just to remove the tension within my body and some stiff areas. Rolling my shoulders back, slowly tilting my neck, waving the arms around.
After doing all the warmups I would find a place less secluded and more open. I would then find a place to stand and make sure my posture and breathing is okay. After this I would then be ready to sing and hopefully a better sound will come out when I sing and I won't run out of breath and I won't trip over and mumble on essential dictational words.
